It’s essential for assessing hormonal health, performance, fertility, libido, mood, and overall vitality. **Included markers:** * **Testosterone, Total (MS)** – The total amount of testosterone in the bloodstream, measured via mass spectrometry for high accuracy. Includes both bound and unbound testosterone. **Uncapped.** * **Testosterone, Free** – The portion of testosterone not bound to proteins, representing the biologically active form that can enter cells and exert effects. * **Testosterone, Bioavailable** – The sum of free testosterone plus the portion loosely bound to albumin—both forms readily available for use in the body. * **Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG)** – A protein that binds tightly to testosterone. High SHBG can reduce free and bioavailable testosterone, even when total levels are normal. * **Albumin** – A protein that loosely binds testosterone. Albumin levels are used to calculate bioavailable testosterone.
